Art Exhibition

November- 18th, for a week.

An exhibition of members art work will be displayed in the Skills Center and the Oasis Cafe.

Local Photographer showing some of his photographs.

From the 14th of November- Jack Brierley a local photographer and a volunteer at the skills center, will be presenting a selection of photographs for our customers to judge. In the Oasis Café a form will be available for customers to critique the photographs. The purpose is to help Jack prepare for a photography exhibition early next year. Full range of photographs from architecture, landscape etc

 

Strings Music Studio event held at St Johns Church  – 5th of December

Strings music studio are holding an event at Saint Johns Church to provide a musical evening to support Making a Difference Tameside Skills Center and Oasis Cafe. The evening will including a variety of singers and musicians. The cost of the event will be £5, spaces are limited so early booking advised. Doors open at 6pm the evening will start at 6:30. food included in the cost of the ticket and beverages will be extra.

Afternoon tea and sing along – for older people

The event will take place on every first Monday in the month excluding December as Dan’s music event at St Johns will be taking place.

The members of Oasis Cafe and Making a Difference Tameside are hosting an afternoon tea, music hall and surprise entertainment. The event  includes a sing along, cakes, beverages and sandwiches  available. This event will be hosted on the first Monday in every month.

On Monday the 6th of November, the entertainment will be the legendary Bango Pete and his ventriloquist dummy.

 

 

School holiday activities – for children while parents enjoy a cup of coffee and cake

During children’s school holidays. Children of ages 5-10 years can enjoy a crafts session. Mums and Dads come and have a chat and a cuppa while your children get creative for a cup of coffee and cake. 1:00 – 3:00. Tuesdays and Thursdays. Cost £2.50 including materials.
