It has been a busy month for Paul and Danny who have completed their Food Hygiene Course. Followed by the PAT testing course. Which they have completed with high scores. Well done again.

Here’s Danny a young man who has already learned many things. Taking tuition from Graham on setting up the DVD system in the café following the painting. And our other Danny creating the hanging baskets for outside the café. So talented our team.




Stuart has been a member at Making a Difference for 5 years now. During that time has increased in confidence and self worth. On Mondays he works in a local charity shop and sometimes managing it by himself. More recently Stuart approached Janice and asked if he could help with the fund raising. It was arrange that he would complete a CPD course certificate in Funding for beginners. He achieved this soon after. Congratulations Stuart!
Richard has now completed his Food Hygiene level 2. Spent 3 months working in the cafe learning how to make cappuccinos and espresso coffee, and customer care skills.
following this Richard is now currently study and developing his understanding and skills in PAT testing, by following a pat testing DVD provided by Making a Difference. Maybe in hopes of one day finding a career as an electrical service man. Richard who has found factory work quite difficult in the past, but has shown practical and technical skills. During his assessment and discussion about his skills, has decided he would give this a try. Well done Richard you’re doing well.
Pam, Richard, Tony and Janice set up a stand at the mental health well being event at the Jigsaw Housing. The event was well attended with 12 stands and many visitors from the community.
Tameside One Event
Janice and the team had an enjoyable time with many other charities meeting local people and connecting with the community on Tuesday 18th. Free blueberry and chocolate muffins were kindly made by Diana and were given away to the public as they stopped to check out the display.
